After the extreme weather we have recently experienced, Vantage Toyota lent Parts Vans to help a cause close to home, the local Croston Flood Relief Appeal. A charity set up by the residents in the village to help victims of the latest flooding disaster in the local area.
It was a family effort on Vantage’s part, the lovely Liz Nicholls, married to Garry Allum, General Manager at Blackburn Toyota, drove a van along with their neighbour Alistair. Together with other volunteers they delivered 350 boxes all over the local area comprising of household items including Kettles and Toasters, courtesy of Asda, plus useful products like cleaning gel all to help their neighbours that have been effected get back to normal as soon as possible. The residents were absolutely delighted with the efforts and brought much needed relief.
The Croston Flood Relief Charity has raised over £12000 so far as well as distributing a huge number of household items among victims. The charity will continue to raise money by holding events over the next few weeks including a Music Festival and a Comedy Evening with Dave Spikey from Phoenix Nights. For more information or if you would like to get involved, please ‘like’ @CrostonNews on Facebook. It is a fantastic cause!
