#HatsOn4Ben

Statistics have shown that one in four adults and one in ten children will experience some kind of mental health issue every year and many of these individuals find it difficult to openly discuss their feelings. Maintaining a healthy state of mind is extremely vital for an individual’s overall health and well-being.

BEN exists as a charity whose primary purpose is to provide help and support to those in trouble or crisis. BEN will offer various coping mechanisms such as counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy to name a few.

BEN is solely in partnership with the automotive industry in order to provide life-long support to its people and their family dependents. By partnering with businesses, BEN can provide support as a means of improving the mental wellness of the workforce, increasing employee satisfaction rates as well as employee productivity and retention rates. Working together, a tailored programme suiting the needs of the particular business can be made accordingly.

#HatsOn4Ben took place on the 10th of October 2018 coinciding with World Mental Health Day as a means of transforming mental health support across the automotive industry. The idea behind the event was simple, yet effective. The event encouraged employees of the automotive industry to wear a hat to work, and donate £2 to the BEN charity. The money donated would then go into providing necessary support for those in the automotive industry and their family dependents.
